ALTA
Emergency manual
Emergency services: 999. Follow the address and exit signs posted at the studio.
Injury or medical emergency
Stop training immediately. Call 999 for ambulance, fire or police and give the operator the address displayed inside the studio. Do not move a seriously injured person unless remaining in place is dangerous. Use the first-aid supplies only if you can do so safely. Notify ALTA through your booking contact channel once it is safe.
Fire or unsafe premises
Leave immediately using the nearest safe exit and follow the posted evacuation route. Do not use a lift during a fire. Call 999 from a safe location. Do not re-enter until emergency services say it is safe. Stop using and report any damaged pole, mat or other equipment; do not attempt to repair it yourself.
After the incident
Report any injury, near miss, unsafe condition or damaged equipment to ALTA as soon as practicable, preferably within 24 hours. Include your booking time and room. Preserve relevant evidence without sharing another person's private information. ALTA will document the incident and restrict unsafe equipment until checked.
Children on site
A guest under 18 must be covered by a parent or legal guardian who signs a consent for that visit and supplies an emergency phone number. Children under 6 may not be dropped off: the guardian stays in the studio for the whole session. Older children may stay without a guardian on site once consent is signed. Whether a child is ready to train is decided by the guardian; a Teacher Ambassador may decline a session they consider unsafe and may ask a guardian to return. Every part of the studio except the changing room is covered by CCTV.
